Where in Lake Como

Choose your corner of Lake Como.

Lake Como is 46 km long. The stretch of shore you choose defines the entire feel — refined and busy, or private and cinematic.

The famous middle

Bellagio & Tremezzo

Historic grand villas and iconic ferry views. Best for black-tie weddings (60–150) where the venue is a marquee name and guests expect a full luxury weekend.

South & city

Como town & Cernobbio

Palladian villas 15 minutes from Milan Malpensa. Best for weddings where international guests want short transfers and the ability to combine with a Milan stay.

Quiet north

Menaggio & the north shore

Private lakeside estates with far fewer weddings booked per season. Best for couples who want the Como look without the Como crowds — and typically 20–30% better rates.

Sofie & Lukas · A private villa near Menaggio · May 2024

Belgian-Swiss couple who wanted the Como look but were quoted eye-watering fees on the Bellagio side. We placed them at a private family-owned villa on the north shore — full lake frontage, private jetty, half the venue fee of the famous name they had originally shortlisted. Guests arrived on Friday by pre-arranged boat from Menaggio pier. Ceremony on the lawn, dinner in a covered orangerie.

Questions

Frequently asked.

How much does a Lake Como wedding cost?

Most full-service Como weddings for 60–120 guests range from roughly €60,000 to €350,000. Named grand villas on the Bellagio–Tremezzo stretch are the most expensive; north-shore private estates are typically the best value for a comparable experience.

When is the best time to get married at Lake Como?

Late May, June and September are the strongest months — warm days, still evenings, low mosquito activity. July and August are hot and busy. October can work but weather shifts quickly from mid-month.

Can we get legally married at Lake Como?

Yes. Several town halls around the lake (including Bellagio, Cernobbio and Menaggio) host legal civil ceremonies at scenic venues, subject to paperwork lodged 4–6 weeks in advance. We handle the entire submission with the local comune.

Do we need boats for a Como wedding?

Not always — but for any wedding above 60 guests spread across multiple hotels, a scheduled boat is usually the fastest way to move everyone. For smaller weddings, boats become the ceremony arrival itself.
