Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, son and daughter of two of the richest mens in India (Ambani is actually the richest men of Asia) surprised guests with a special luxurious cruise for their pre-wedding celebration, whose final stop was an outstanding celebration in Portofino on June 1st, with the main Port’s square reserved for the occasion (with some controversy with the locals).
According to local sources, significant areas overlooking the pier had been cordoned off from public access to ensure privacy and security for high-profile guests.

Details of the event
Portofino’s port was prepared in advance to welcome the cruise ship, allowing guests to disembark and join the out-of-the-ordinary experience created for them.
The celebration featured a variety of musical performances, with a serenade from Andrea Bocelli himself. The event dress code was ‘Italian summer’, and festivities begun at 5:30 pm and continued until 10:30 pm local time.

On March 1, the couple already hosted a pre-wedding event with more than 1,000 members of the international elite (including Mark Zuckerberg, Ivanka Trump, Bill Gates and much more) flew to Jamnagar to partecipate at the pre-wedding celebrations.

Guests included billionaires from all over the world and international superstars, the performer, at the party was Rihanna, and guests were offered services like chartered flights, personal makeup artists, top chefs and so on.
The second Ambani’s pre-wedding celebration in Portofino
The couple hosted a second pre-wedding celebration on a cruise ship, departed from Palermo on May 29 and concluded its journey on June 1st with a lavish party in Portofino, renting almost all the square, with the yes from the Town Hall, by convincing almost all of the restaurants’ owners to reserve the restaurant for them, with a 10.000€ fee. The famous italian singer Andrea Bocelli, was hired to sing romantic songs to the couple.

On of Italy’s most charming squares, the square of the seaside town of Portofino, was reserved for the event, with a pass only for guests of the Ambani’s pre-wedding celebrations. The restaurants participated, each preparing a different and traditional local dish, opening the doors of their building to the guests, creating the atmosphere of enchanted village, almost like an adult Disneyland.

On their sea journey from the Italian to the French Riviera, guests wore some of the best designer clothing paired with vacation attire like straw hats, light silk dresses and bold Italian prints.According Indian press, the cruise had a cost of 139 million dollars.

The real wedding, according to sources, will be on June 12nd in Mumbai, the date was chosen according to the Hindu tradition of getting married on an auspicious date based on the couples’ birth charts. The locations chosen for the multiple-days wedding will be the Ambani family home, called Antilia, and the Jio World Convention Centre.
